Oncheoncheon Citizens Park — the easiest riverside walk

Zelkova and maple line both banks of the Oncheoncheon stream, turning gold and red in autumn — great for a stroll or a bike ride. Get off at Oncheonjang or Myeongnyun Station on Subway Line 1. The top pick if you want foliage without climbing a mountain.

Yongdusan Park — a green oasis by Nampo-dong

Right beside the Nampo-dong shopping area and reachable by escalator, with autumn color framing Busan Tower — perfect to fold into a shopping day.

Busan Citizens Park — wide lawns and tree-lined paths

Spacious and shaded, good for families or a slower pace.

Mountain foliage: Beomeosa & Geumgang Park

Beomeosa Temple on Geumjeongsan is Busan’s signature thousand-year temple, wrapped in layered red and gold along the trails each fall — locals’ number-one foliage spot. Take Subway Line 1 to Beomeosa Station, then bus 90 up the mountain. At the foot, Geumgang Park has a cable car, a stream, and maples for an easier visit.

Day trip: Gyeongju foliage

For temples, tombs, and color in one hit, Gyeongju is the day trip worth taking from Busan. Bulguksa Temple and Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond are classic Korean autumn scenes.
