Luggage Storage in Busan: Station, Airport & Subway Lockers

If you arrive too early to check in, or have time to kill after checking out before your flight, dragging your luggage around can be a hassle. Here's where to offload it and travel light.

Busan Station Coin Lockers

Busan Station, where the KTX arrives, has coin lockers scattered throughout the concourse, mainly clustered opposite the souvenir shop and in front of the first-floor exit — look for the '물품 보관함' (locker) sign. It's a convenient spot to drop your bags before heading into Seomyeon, Nampo-dong, or elsewhere downtown.

Sizes & Pricing

At the newer touchscreen kiosks: press the green 'Keep' button and pick an open locker (shown in blue; orange means occupied), press 'Check' to confirm and see the fee, then scan your fingerprint twice at the kiosk to lock it to your identity. Choose a payment method and keep your receipt. At older button-style lockers: press the red 'LOCK' button, enter your locker number, and insert the exact cash amount shown on screen — these usually don't print a receipt, so note your locker number yourself.

Cash tends to work faster than card at these machines, so it's worth carrying some cash as a tourist. Storage is capped at 3 days — after that your bags get pulled and held elsewhere, and if they sit unclaimed for 30 days or more, they can be disposed of entirely. If you need to leave luggage for longer than a few days, look into a staffed storage service instead of a locker. Lockers also go offline from 12:30am to 5am, matching subway operating hours, so plan around that if you're arriving or leaving late.

Gimhae Airport Baggage Storage

Coin Lockers at Major Subway Stations

Busy transfer stations like Seomyeon, Nampo, Gwangan, and Haeundae generally have coin lockers installed. They’re the most convenient option for stashing bags briefly while you sightsee downtown — though where the lockers actually sit varies station to station, so it helps to know roughly where to look.

Seomyeon Station

Lockers are split across several different exits, so it's worth figuring out which exit you're headed toward before you start looking.

Nampo Station

Right next to the exit — easy to spot the moment you come up from the platform.

Gwangan Station

The locker area itself is small, but it sits right by the exit and stairs, so it's easy to reach.

Haeundae Station

Lockers are split across both sides of the exits, so there tend to be more available here than at other stations.

If There's No Locker or They're Full

If there’s no locker nearby or they’re all taken, search "짐보관" (luggage storage) on Naver Map or KakaoMap to find a staffed storage partner at a nearby cafe or convenience store. You can also reserve a spot ahead of time through a storage app.
